garden moodboard - july 2014

July looks a riot of colour here, but in reality the blooms are few and far between. Much like last year, July seems to be a little lacking in the actual garden, perhaps that's to do with the baking heat we're had compared to other months.... or do you find there just isn't so much in bloom come July? Let's hope things pick up in time for August.

[Each month I join Karin and Åsa in this series of monthly moodboards].

On Monday Stage 3 of Le Tour de France came our way! We found our spot to watch from on a roundabout near Hinxton, and set up camp, along with other excited locals and a few folk from further afield. It was a hoot! The flags were out, the bunting hung between the trees and a big bell at the ready to give the cyclists a good old ding-dong of encouragement! We all enjoyed it so much, from watching the security guards keep the road clear, to the caravan, to the race itself, it was an utter joy to watch. Please, please if the organisers are listening, send Le Tour our way again.

P.S. D took most of these pictures.
