introducing pie

Meet Pie - our new addition to the family and a friend for Tit. I bought her home a couple of weeks ago and she's settling in well. At first there was some pecking between her and Tit but now they seem to be friends, following each other about. Pie is a call duck, so smaller than Tit but not too unsimilar in colouring. They make a cute pair - little and large!

  1. They are lovely - what beautiful shaded feathers Pie has! Do they ever fly?

    1. Hi Celia, She's a pretty girl isn't she (still not sure about the sex, but we think she). Pie hasn't flown yet though she's having a good flap about, getting ready. Tit on the other hand mastered flying quite well. After having to retrieve her from the pavement on the side of the road a couple of times and a walled garden we've now given her a little wing-clip to keep her out of trouble!

  3. I would love to have pet ducks! They are one of my favourite animals and cheer me up every time I see them. Maybe one day when I have a garden.

    1. They are so much fun, we hadn't really intended to have ducks as pets - read my post http://nicekindofblue.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/28-days-later.html They are wonderful though, not as cuddly as our lovely cat, but the most entertaining.
