garden moodboard - january 2013

I've decided to join in Karin's monthly moodboards which I first spotted over on Caroline's blog. It's seems such a lovely idea - a collection of seasonal flowers and foliage from the garden. A good way to record what's going on out there, and a fun series to look back on in the future. I really struggled with the photography, it's just so dark indoors at the moment, so hopefully the photography will improve along with the light as the year progresses.

common names - snowdrops • hydrangea • thistle • aconite • sedum • ivy • moss • curry plant

  1. What a lovely idea.

I love that even in the depths of winter there is still beauty in the garden.

  3. This is really lovely - and I'm the same with indoor photographs at this time of year. Perhaps a white linen tablecloth might lift it for next time? Anyway, I was excited to see snowdrops!

  6. Leanne, Ally, Bristol Parenting Cafe, Debie and Andrea, thank you all for your comments, it's so nice to read them and come across some new faces at the same time :)

Bristol Parenting Cafe - I think your right a white backdrop would definitely have helped with the lack of light, a few more skills with the camera wouldn't have gone a miss either I'm sure! But some how the dark wood felt right for the time of year, we spend so much time sitting round that table in winter.
