Lucky in so many ways. Earlier this week D and I celebrated 14 years together, 14 years of being in love, 14 years of having the best kind of best friend you can get. I never felt so sure of anything till I met D.

Some of these you might have seen on Instagram, and some you won't. Just a little of what we've been up to lately (excluding work of course). We celebrated D's birthday with a drive to Newmarket for a little tk maxx retail therapy and a spot of lunch. We met our lovely friends Jo and John in Cambridge for another spot of lunch. The ducks have been enjoying a few dips on the patio. I dressed my toes ready for summer (the nights are drawing out now). And yes that's me (pulling a face as usual) and D out for a walk.

I had the Xmas week off work, D had most of it off, so once the big day had passed we had time to relax together. The weather wasn't great, we had some wet days but amongst them were some good days too. It was one of those we chose to take a walk, we studied the maps and looked for a good route (on footpaths rather than road) actually there aren't that many close by and our walk to the next village did take in a fair few roads but the roads were quiet and our walk was pleasant, though we returned home with dreams of a kayak or canoe - that way we could take to the river and skip the roads altogether!
